Warwick Square

Grace and Sustainability

Our approach to this apartment in the Grade II Listed Building in Warwick Square is contemporary and respectful.

When our clients purchased the flat in 2019, it was in appalling condition: creaky flooring, poor sound insulation, only one bathroom and a tiny kitchen tucked into the darkest corner. The brief was to bring a fresh and new feeling to the place while taking care of the original features and character of the building.

The reconfiguration of the floor plan is sympathetic to the historical building's structure and enables better use of the spaces, plenty of sunlight, and a smooth flow of the functions.

We amended the existing layout to include an open-plan dining kitchen area, an en-suite in the master bedroom and a guest bedroom with an adjacent guest bathroom.

To re-ignite the historical interiors, we applied a solid bamboo parquet flooring that is reminiscent of the tradition of using timber floor finish, considering the impact on the environment. We applied eco-friendly water-based paints from Farrow & Ball to all internal walls in a colour palette reflecting our client's taste for bold, cool aesthetics, echoing their Scandinavian homeland.

Eva worked with us on our Grade Il Listed
property renovation in Pimlico.
Not only was she the architect, she also project managed, she applied for permissions from the council
and was involved in all aspects of the works.
I would highly recommend her.
